Unlistenable

Unlistenable is an adjective used to describe something that cannot be or is extremely difficult to listen to. This difficulty can stem from various factors, often related to auditory perception, content, or emotional impact.

In a purely auditory context, unlistenable can refer to sounds that are physically unpleasant or damaging to the ear. This might include extremely loud noises, grating frequencies, or distorted audio that lacks clarity. For example, a heavily distorted or saturated audio signal might be considered unlistenable due to its harshness and lack of discernible sound.

Beyond the physical properties of sound, the content or nature of what is being heard can render it unlistenable. This is often subjective and depends on individual tolerance and preferences.
