Unicodecodiert

Unicodecodiert refers to a text encoding standard that is an extension of the ASCII character set. It was developed by the Unicode Consortium, an organization that set out to create a universal character set that could represent and encode characters from all languages of the world.

The standard was introduced in the late 1980s, with the aim of solving the problems associated with character encoding in computers. Prior to the development of Unicode, different operating systems and applications used different encoding standards, leading to compatibility issues and difficulties in exchanging data between different systems.

The Unicode standard uses a 16-bit code point to represent each character, allowing for a wide range of characters from different languages to be included in the standard. This has led to the development of a vast range of characters, including those from languages that were previously not well supported.

The standard has two main forms: Unicode-Bit-Prefix (BMP) and the extended Unicode (UTF-8 and UTF-32). BMP uses the maximum number of 16-bit code points, giving a maximum of 65,536 unique characters. The UTF-8 and UTF-32 formats extend this range, even allowing for a limited representation of code points above U+10FFFF.

The encoding of computer text data is a solution which combines text and numbers in a single flow. The advantage of the standard is its ability to meet the needs of the world's languages.
