Undrainable

Undrainable is an adjective used to describe something that cannot be emptied or from which liquid cannot be removed. This can apply to a variety of contexts. In a literal sense, a container might be considered undrainable if its design prevents complete emptying. For example, a container with a complex internal shape or a permanently sealed bottom might be described as undrainable.

The term can also be used metaphorically. A situation or problem might be described as undrainable if it is persistent and seems to defy all attempts at resolution. This suggests a continuous or overwhelming nature. For instance, a source of unending bad luck or an inexhaustible supply of a problem could be referred to as undrainable. Similarly, in finance, an undrainable debt might refer to a debt that continues to accrue interest or fees, making it difficult to reduce the principal amount significantly. The core concept remains the inability to deplete or remove the substance or issue in question.
