Umschaltventil
An Umschaltventil, often translated as a changeover valve or diverting valve, is a type of valve used in fluid systems to control the direction of flow. Its primary function is to redirect a fluid from one path to another, or to combine flows from multiple sources into a single outlet. Unlike a simple on/off valve, an Umschaltventil typically has at least three ports: an inlet port and two or more outlet ports, or two inlet ports and one outlet port. By actuating the valve, the internal mechanism is shifted to connect different combinations of these ports, thus altering the fluid's routing.
These valves are commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as in heating, ventilation, and
The actuation of an Umschaltventil can be achieved through various means, including manual operation, electrical signals
