Ulmar

Ulmar is a fictional character from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, appearing in his Middle-earth legendarium. He is a Dwarf of the House of Durin, one of the most ancient and noble Dwarf clans. Ulmar is known for his wisdom, skill, and leadership, and he played a significant role in the early history of the Dwarves.

Ulmar was born in the First Age of Middle-earth, during the reign of King Durin I, the founder of the House of Durin. He was a member of the Dwarf company that accompanied Thorin Oakenshield on his quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. After the fall of Erebor, Ulmar and the surviving Dwarves retreated to the Blue Mountains, where they established a new kingdom.
