Uky
Uky is a fictional town and municipality located on the eastern coast of Veridia, a country in the continent of Eldara. It serves as the administrative seat of Uky District. The name is derived from an old Veridian word for “meeting place.” Historically, Uky developed around a river crossing and gained market town status in the 14th century. Geography: Uky lies along the Lysa River in a hilly, mixed-soil region, with a temperate climate characterized by warm summers and cool winters. Demographics: the municipality has about 12,000 residents, predominantly Veridian with small communities of artisans and farmers. Economy: the economy blends agriculture—grain and vegetables—with light manufacturing and a growing tourism sector focused on the river, historic sites, and crafts. Governance: Uky operates under a mayor–council system; the council has twelve members elected together with the mayor every four years.
