Uczestnicz

Uczestnicz is the second-person singular imperative form of the Polish verb uczestniczyć, meaning "to participate" or "to take part." It is used to address someone directly and urge them to take part in a specified activity. The imperative for plural or formal address is uczestniczcie, while the singular informal form remains uczestnicz.

The verb uczestniczyć derives from the noun uczestnik (participant) and the abstract noun uczestnictwo (participation). Related forms include uczestnictwo and uczestnik, which denote the act of taking part and the participant, respectively.

Usage notes and construction: Uczestnicz is typically followed by the preposition w to indicate what one should participate in, as in uczestnicz w zajęciach (participate in classes) or uczestnicz w projekcie (participate in the project). For negation, the usual form is nie uczestnicz w tym or nie uczestniczcie w tym, depending on number and level of formality.
