Tähtäyslaite

Tähtäyslaite is a Finnish term that translates to "sighting device" or "aiming device" in English. It refers to any instrument or apparatus used to assist in aiming a weapon, telescope, camera, or other optical device. The primary function of a tähtäyslaite is to improve accuracy by providing a clear and precise point of reference for the user.

There are many types of tähtäyslaite, ranging from simple open sights to complex optical sights and electronic targeting systems. Open sights, often found on firearms, consist of a front sight post and a rear sight notch. The user aligns these two elements with the target to achieve a rough aim.
