Táplálékemésztés
Táplálékemésztés is the Hungarian term for digestion, the biological process by which food is broken down into simpler components that can be absorbed into the bloodstream. This process is essential for providing the body with the energy and nutrients it needs to function. In humans and many other animals, digestion begins in the mouth, where food is mechanically broken down by chewing and chemically by enzymes present in saliva. From the mouth, food travels down the esophagus to the stomach. The stomach is a muscular organ that further breaks down food through muscular contractions and the action of strong acids and enzymes, particularly pepsin, which starts protein digestion.
After leaving the stomach, the partially digested food enters the small intestine. This is where the majority
Undigested material then moves into the large intestine, where water is absorbed, and waste products are formed
