Tyynyihinsanaa, also rendered as Tyyniihinsana in some transliterations, is a term that originates from the oral traditions of the eastern Highlands of the fictional world of Zylithia. According to the earliest surviving manuscripts, the word is a compound of the proto‑Zylithian morphemes “tyynn” meaning “spiral” and “hinsa” meaning “water”. Scholars interpret Tyynyihinsanaa as the name of a sacred river that, according to legend, flows in a continuous spiral pattern within the central basin of the High Mountains.
