Turbinenhäuser, often translated as turbine houses or powerhouses, are structures designed to house and protect water turbines and associated machinery for the generation of hydroelectric power. These buildings are integral components of hydroelectric power plants, serving a crucial role in converting the potential energy of water into mechanical and then electrical energy.
