Tuoni
Tuoni is a term from Finnish folklore and epic poetry that refers to death as a personified force and to the afterlife realm commonly known as Tuonela. In traditional sources, Tuoni is linked to the crossing point between the living world and the land of the dead; Tuonela is the underworld where the dead reside, and Tuonetar is described as the mistress or queen of Tuonela. The river Tuonen joki, or the River of Death, is a recurring element in these images, representing a boundary between life and death.
In the Kalevala and related folk material, Tuoni appears as part of the cosmic order governing fate
