Tuhandemärgid, often translated as "thousand marks" or "ten thousand marks," refers to a period in Estonian history characterized by significant economic instability and hyperinflation, particularly during the early 1920s. Following the disruptions of World War I and the Estonian War of Independence, the newly established Republic of Estonia faced immense challenges in stabilizing its economy.
