Tsukihimes

Tsukihime is a visual novel developed by Type-Moon, originally released in 2000 for PC. It tells the story of Shiki Tohno, a young man who, after a near-fatal accident, gains the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, allowing him to see the "lines of death" on all living things and objects, which he can then sever to destroy them.

The story primarily follows Shiki as he navigates his complex relationships with several women, including Arcueid Brunestud, a mysterious vampire, and Akiha Tohno, his younger sister. The narrative branches into multiple routes, each exploring different aspects of the supernatural world and Shiki's fate. Tsukihime delves into themes of immortality, humanity, and the nature of existence, featuring a rich cast of characters with their own motivations and backstories.

A remake of Tsukihime, titled Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, was released in 2021 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, covering the first two main routes, "Arcueid" and "Ciel." This remake features updated graphics, new voice acting, and expanded story content. Tsukihime has also been adapted into manga, anime, and fighting games, solidifying its place as a significant work in the visual novel genre.
