Trommelwerkzeugen, commonly translated as "drum tools" or "percussion tools," refers to the implements used to play percussion instruments. These can range widely in form and material, tailored to the specific instrument and desired sound.

The most basic forms are drumsticks, typically made of wood, though variations exist in materials like nylon, carbon fiber, and aluminum. Drumsticks are categorized by their weight, length, taper, and tip shape, which significantly influence the sound produced on drums and cymbals. Mallets, another common type of trommelwerkzeugen, feature larger heads, often covered in felt, yarn, or rubber, designed for instruments like timpani, xylophones, marimbas, and vibraphones. Specialty tools also exist, such as beaters for bass drums, which can be felt-covered or made of various materials, and specialized mallets for hand drums like congas and djembes, often featuring padded surfaces.
