Trollhunters

Trollhunters, also known as Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, is an American animated fantasy adventure television series created for Netflix by Guillermo del Toro. The series follows Jim Lake Jr., a teenager who stumbles upon a mystical amulet and becomes the first human Trollhunter, tasked with protecting the human world from trolls and other magical creatures living in secret beneath their town.

The story begins when Jim accidentally finds the amulet of Bligh, which transforms him into a Trollhunter. He is then guided by a trio of ancient trolls: Blinky, a wise, multi-armed troll with a thirst for knowledge; Aaarrrgghh, a large, strong, and mostly silent troll; and Toby Domzalski, Jim's best friend, who becomes his loyal sidekick and helps him navigate his new responsibilities.

Throughout the series, Jim must balance his normal high school life with his duties as Trollhunter, facing dangerous trolls, dark sorcerers, and ancient prophecies. He learns to master his newfound powers and weaponry, including the magical hammer and shield, while forming strong bonds with his troll allies and his human friends. The series explores themes of destiny, courage, friendship, and the difficult choices that come with great power. Trollhunters is the first installment in the Tales of Arcadia franchise, which continues with other series like 3Below and Wizards.
