Triprotonoitu is a term used in chemistry to describe a molecule or ion that has accepted three protons. A proton in this context refers to a hydrogen ion, H+. Therefore, a triprotonoitu species has gained three hydrogen ions. This process typically occurs in acidic conditions where there is an abundance of H+ ions available to be donated. The addition of protons can significantly alter the chemical properties of the original molecule or ion, affecting its charge, reactivity, and physical characteristics such as solubility.

For example, a molecule with multiple basic sites, such as a polyamine, can become triprotonoitu by accepting a proton at each of its basic nitrogen atoms.
