Tornfläktar

Tornfläktar, also known as tower fans, are a type of electric fan characterized by their tall, slender design. Unlike traditional desk fans with rotating blades exposed behind a cage, tornfläktar typically conceal their oscillating mechanism and fan blades within a vertical housing. This design offers several advantages, including a smaller footprint, making them suitable for rooms with limited space. The enclosed nature of the fan can also be perceived as safer, particularly in households with children or pets.

The airflow in a tornfläkt is generated by a fan motor located at the base or within the housing, which propels air through a series of internal vents or louvers. Many tornfläktar feature oscillation, allowing them to sweep air across a wider area of the room. Some models also offer multiple speed settings and timer functions for customizable comfort and energy efficiency. While they are effective at circulating air and providing a cooling breeze, their airflow can sometimes be less powerful or focused compared to some traditional fan designs. Maintenance usually involves cleaning the exterior and ensuring the air intake vents remain unobstructed.
