Tolminknais

Tolminknais is a genus of extinct anthracothere artiodactyls, short-legged pig-like mammals that lived during the Paleocene and Eocene epochs. They were characterized by their robust build, long legs, and short pelvic limbs.

Fossil evidence suggests that Tolminknais species were found in what is now Europe, with the first discovery made in the 20th century in the Czech Republic. Further finds have since been made in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The genus is named after the Tolminka River in Slovenia, where one of the first fossils was discovered.
