Tingdagen
Tingdagen is a traditional observance in parts of Sweden, particularly in rural communities. It is a day dedicated to the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment and tools before the start of the spring planting season. The name "Tingdagen" itself translates roughly to "assembly day" or "judgment day," historically referring to a time when community members would gather to discuss important matters and settle disputes, but its modern usage is primarily focused on practical, agricultural preparations.
Historically, Tingdagen was a significant event in the agrarian calendar. Farmers would bring their plows, scythes,
