Tilakuviossa

Tilakuviossa is a Finnish architectural and design term used to refer to the arrangement of spaces within a building or site. Etymology: The word tilakuvio combines tila (space, room) and kuvio (shape, figure). The inessive suffix -ssa marks "in" or "inside," so tilakuviossa literally means "in the spatial layout." The base noun tilakuvio refers to the layout itself, while tilakuviossa signals the locational form in sentences.

Usage: In architectural practice, tilakuviossa is used to describe or analyze how spaces are distributed, how circulation flows between areas, and how functional zones are organized within a plan. It can refer to both concrete drawings (pohjaratkaisu, plan view) and conceptual models.
