Tianzhou2

Tianzhou-2 was an uncrewed cargo spacecraft developed by the China National Space Administration (CNSA). It was launched on May 29, 2021, from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan, China, aboard a Long March 7 rocket. The primary mission of Tianzhou-2 was to resupply the Tiangong space station, China's modular space laboratory.

The cargo spacecraft carried essential supplies for the astronauts aboard Tiangong, including food, water, propellant, and scientific equipment. It also performed crucial tests of its systems and capabilities, which are vital for future long-duration space missions. Tianzhou-2 successfully docked with the core module of the Tiangong space station, Tianhe, in a fully automated process.

During its time docked with Tiangong, Tianzhou-2 played a significant role in supporting the crewed missions that followed. It demonstrated China's growing expertise in space logistics and its ability to maintain a continuous presence in orbit. After its mission was complete, Tianzhou-2 was deorbited and entered Earth's atmosphere, where it burned up as planned. Its successful operation was a key step in the ongoing development and construction of the Tiangong space station.
