Ti6Al2Sn4Zr2Mo
Ti6Al2Sn4Zr2Mo is a titanium alloy that belongs to the alpha-beta class of titanium alloys. It is characterized by its good combination of high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and fracture toughness. The alloy contains approximately 6% aluminum, 2% tin, 4% zirconium, and 2% molybdenum, with the remainder being titanium. Aluminum and tin act as solid solution strengtheners and stabilize the alpha phase, while molybdenum is an allotriomorphic strengthener that also contributes to creep resistance. Zirconium is an alpha stabilizer and also improves fracture toughness.
This alloy is known for its excellent performance at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for applications
Common applications for Ti6Al2Sn4Zr2Mo include components in aerospace engines, such as compressor blades and discs, where
