Thynn is a fictional port city located on the western coast of the continent of Valoria in the fantasy world of Eldoria. It serves as a major commercial and administrative center, anchored by a deep natural harbor and a network of canals that link the harbor district with inland neighborhoods. The etymology of the name is uncertain, with scholars proposing origins in an old trade dialect or a clan name.

The city sits on a crescent bay protected by a rocky promontory. Main features include outer walls, a ring of quays, the Market District, and the Citadel on the headland. The climate is temperate and maritime, with frequent sea breezes.

Thynn arose as a fishing hamlet and trading post in the early Middle Ages, rising with spice and timber trades. It was incorporated into the Valorian realm, later receiving a city charter that granted guilds certain liberties. Its shipyards and granaries became central to regional commerce, and Thynn maintained autonomy through alliances and negotiation with neighboring states.

The city is governed by a mayor and a council of merchants, with representation from guilds and neighborhood assemblies. The economy centers on the harbor, shipbuilding, fishery, and related crafts, along with Port Market goods, textile trade, and glassware.
