Theudis
Theudis was a prominent Ostrogothic nobleman who played a significant role in the Visigothic Kingdom of Hispania. He served as a general under King Amalaric and later became a powerful figure in his own right. Following Amalaric's death in 531, Theudis was elected king of the Visigoths in Hispania, marking the beginning of his reign which lasted until 548.
His reign was characterized by attempts to consolidate the kingdom and deal with internal and external challenges.
Theudis's reign is considered important in the history of the Visigoths as it represented a move towards
