Thalía

Ariadna Thalía Sodi Miranda, known professionally as Thalía, is a Mexican singer, actress, and businesswoman. Born August 26, 1971, in Mexico City, she began her career as a member of the pop group Timbiriche before pursuing solo projects in music and acting.

Her solo career took off in the early 1990s, with a string of albums in Spanish and a growing presence on television. She achieved international fame with Amor a la Mexicana (1999) and Arrasando (2000), among others, and is widely described as one of the best-selling Latin music artists with multi-platinum sales.

In television, Thalía became a household name through Televisa telenovelas, notably Maria Mercedes (1992), Maria la del Barrio (1995–96), and Rosalinda (1999–2000), as well as later English-language appearances.

On a personal level, Thalía married Tommy Mottola, a former head of Sony Music, in 2000. They have two children. Beyond performing, she has pursued business ventures in fashion and fragrances and has supported charitable causes.

Thalía has remained a prominent figure in Latin pop, with a global fan base, and continues to release music, act, and participate in various media projects.
