Tetraamantane

Tetraamantane is a highly symmetrical, three-dimensional molecule belonging to the diamondoid family. Its structure can be visualized as a cube of eight carbon atoms with additional carbon atoms at the centers of each of the six faces. This arrangement results in a molecule composed of 14 carbon atoms and 20 hydrogen atoms, with the chemical formula C14H20. Tetraamantane's structure is derived from that of adamantane, which can be considered the smallest unit of the diamond lattice. Tetraamantane is essentially a cluster of four adamantane-like cages.
