Ternaryjärjestelmät
Ternaryjärjestelmät, or ternary systems, are number systems that use three distinct symbols to represent numbers. Most commonly, these symbols are 0, 1, and 2. This is in contrast to the decimal system, which is the most common system used today and employs ten symbols (0 through 9). In a ternary system, the value of a digit is determined by its position, multiplied by a power of the base, which is 3.
For example, the ternary number 120 would be equivalent to (1 * 3^2) + (2 * 3^1) + (0 * 3^0)
Ternary systems, particularly balanced ternary systems where the digits can be -1, 0, and 1, have been
