Temná

Temná is the feminine singular form of the Czech adjective temný, meaning dark or gloomy. It is used to describe feminine nouns, for example temná noc (a dark night) or temná atmosféra (a dark atmosphere).

The word temná derives from the Proto-Slavic root temn- meaning dark; the related noun temno denotes darkness or gloom. Like other Czech adjectives, temná inflects to agree with gender, number, and case of the noun it describes.
