Tehastes
Tehastes, also known as the Tehastes tribe, are a small, indigenous group residing in the remote regions of the Amazon rainforest. Their traditional way of life revolves around sustainable agriculture, fishing, and hunting, with a strong emphasis on community and environmental conservation. The Tehastes speak their own language, which is part of the Tupian language family, and have a rich oral tradition that includes storytelling, songs, and rituals.
The Tehastes have a matrilineal society, where lineage and inheritance are traced through the female line.
Despite their isolation, the Tehastes have maintained a strong connection to their ancestral lands and traditions.
