Taupunktüberschreitung
Taupunktüberschreitung, also known as dew point exceedance, refers to a situation where the temperature of a surface falls below the dew point of the surrounding air. The dew point is the temperature at which the air becomes saturated with water vapor and condensation begins to form. When the dew point is exceeded, the excess water vapor in the air transitions from a gaseous state to a liquid state, depositing as tiny water droplets on the cooler surface. This phenomenon is commonly observed as dew forming on grass overnight or condensation appearing on a cold beverage glass.
In building physics, taupunktüberschreitung is a critical consideration for preventing moisture damage. If a surface within
