Tagbilaran

Tagbilaran is the capital city of the province of Bohol in the Philippines. It is located on the southwest coast of Bohol Island. The city serves as the primary economic, political, and educational center of the province and is the main gateway for tourists visiting Bohol's many attractions.

Historically, Tagbilaran was established as a settlement by the Augustinian missionaries in 1787 and later became a parish in 1829. It was officially recognized as a city in 1966. The city's strategic location has contributed to its development as a vital port and commercial hub for the region.
