TAX1BP1
TAX1BP1, or Tax1 (Human T-cell leukemia virus type 1) binding protein 1, is a protein that is encoded by the TAX1BP1 gene in humans. This gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 17 at position 24.3 (17q24.3). The TAX1BP1 protein is known to interact with the Tax protein from the Human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1), which is the virus responsible for causing adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma and HTLV-1-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis.
The TAX1BP1 protein contains several domains, including a B-box zinc finger domain and a coiled-coil domain,
Research has indicated that TAX1BP1 may also be involved in the regulation of immune responses. It has
In summary, TAX1BP1 is a multifunctional protein that interacts with various cellular and viral proteins, playing
