Süsihappega, also known as carbonic acid, is a weak acid with the chemical formula H2CO3. It is formed when carbon dioxide dissolves in water. This reaction is reversible and can be represented by the equation CO2 + H2O <=> H2CO3. In aqueous solutions, carbonic acid partially dissociates into hydrogen ions (H+) and bicarbonate ions (HCO3-), and further into hydrogen ions and carbonate ions (CO32-).
