Säkerhetskoppling is a Swedish term that translates to "safety coupling" or "safety clutch" in English. It refers to a mechanical device designed to protect machinery from damage due to overload or jamming. When the torque transmitted through the coupling exceeds a predetermined limit, the safety coupling disengages, breaking the power transmission between the driving and driven components.
