Geography: It sits on the banks of the Drelin River, sheltered by the Western Ridge. The town's center is laid out along a grid around a central marketplace, with surrounding farmland producing grain and wine.

History and governance: Founded in the early medieval period by two trading clans who exchanged crafts and stories, Szóerk is governed by a town council elected by property owners. In later centuries it joined a regional trade league that regulated river traffic.

Economy and culture: The economy relies on timber, metalworking, and ceramics, supplemented by small-scale river transport and local markets. The town hosts an annual midsummer festival with music, markets, and public storytelling, and supports bilingual signage to reflect resident communities.
