Szívóüteme
Szívóüteme refers to the intake stroke of an internal combustion engine. It is the first of the four strokes in a typical Otto cycle engine. During the szívóüteme, the piston moves downward from the top dead center (TDC) towards the bottom dead center (BDC). As the piston descends, the intake valve opens, and the resulting vacuum in the cylinder draws the fuel-air mixture from the intake manifold into the combustion chamber. The exhaust valve remains closed throughout this stroke. The primary purpose of the szívóüteme is to fill the cylinder with the combustible charge that will be ignited in the subsequent power stroke. The efficiency of this stroke significantly impacts the engine's overall performance and fuel economy, as a complete and efficient filling of the cylinder is crucial for optimal combustion. The duration and timing of the intake valve opening and closing are precisely controlled by the camshaft and are critical for engine operation at various speeds and loads.
