Szaglóreceptors
Szaglóreceptors, also known as olfactory receptors, are proteins found on the surface of olfactory sensory neurons in the nasal cavity. These receptors are responsible for detecting odor molecules, which are airborne chemical compounds that we perceive as smells. When an odorant molecule binds to a specific olfactory receptor, it triggers a signal transduction pathway within the neuron. This pathway ultimately leads to the generation of an electrical signal that is transmitted to the brain via the olfactory nerve.
The human olfactory system is remarkably complex, with an estimated 400 different types of functional olfactory
