Svjat
Svjat, also known as Svjatopolk, was a medieval prince of Chernigov, a significant city in Kievan Rus', from 1113 to 1123. He was the son of Prince Vseslav of Polotsk and a member of the Rurikid dynasty. Svjat's reign was marked by both internal stability and external conflicts. He successfully defended Chernigov against the incursions of the Cumans, a nomadic people from the steppes, and maintained a degree of autonomy from the Kievan Rus' principalities.
