Suojahuovat

Suojahuovat is a Finnish term for protective blankets or shields used to cover, insulate, or protect objects, surfaces, or people from damage or hazards. The word combines suoja ('protection') and huopa ('blanket'). In industry and everyday use, suojahuovat can refer to soft textile blankets as well as rigid shielding panels designed to prevent scratches, spatter, heat transfer, or radiation exposure.

Types and materials: Soft suojahuovat include felt, foam-backed or laminated textile blankets used to cushion items, prevent dust accumulation, or protect finished surfaces during transport, storage, or assembly. Rigid suojahuovat comprise shields or cladding made from metal, ceramic, or composite materials that provide thermal insulation, radiation shielding, or impact resistance.
