Sulfonüülsulfonates
Sulfonüülsulfonates are a class of organic compounds characterized by the presence of a sulfonyl group (SO2) directly bonded to a sulfonate group (SO3). More specifically, they contain the structural unit R-SO2-SO3-R', where R and R' are organic radicals. These compounds are considered derivatives of sulfonic acids, where one of the oxygen atoms in the sulfonate group is replaced by a sulfonyl group.
The synthesis of sulfonüülsulfonates can be achieved through various methods, often involving the oxidation of thiosulfonates
While not as widely studied or utilized as some other classes of organic sulfur compounds, sulfonüülsulfonates
