Sukietjimo
Sukietjimo is a term used to describe the process by which a material becomes hard, firm, or rigid. In Lithuanian usage, it refers to the transition from a more soft or malleable state to a harder state, accomplished through chemical reactions, physical changes, or thermal effects. The concept is applied across disciplines such as construction, materials science, metallurgy, food science, and ceramics.
The mechanisms of sukietjimas vary. Physical drying or loss of moisture can cause a material to stiffen.
Applications of sukietjimas are diverse. In construction, cement and concrete strengthen during curing due to hydration
Factors influencing the rate and extent of sukietjimas include temperature, humidity, moisture content, composition and impurities,
