Subjekteihin

Subjekteihin is the Finnish illative plural form of the noun subjekti, meaning "into the subjects" or "to the subjects." As an inflected form, it is used to express movement, direction, or transfer toward multiple subjects, whether in physical, procedural, or abstract contexts. For example, Tutkimus kohdistui subjekteihin ("The study was directed at the subjects") uses subjekteihin to indicate the target group.

The base word subjekti is a loanword ultimately from Latin subjectus via European academic languages and denotes an agent, grammatical subject, participant in a study, or an entity being considered. In Finnish morphology, the illative plural regularly conveys "into" or "toward" and is formed here as subjekti → subjektit (plural) → subjekteihin (illative plural), with the suffix -ihin marking the illative case for many plural nouns.
