Subianto

Subianto is a prominent Indonesian figure, most widely recognized for his career in the Indonesian military and subsequent entry into politics. Born on May 17, 1951, he served in the Indonesian Army, rising to the rank of Lieutenant General. His military service included command positions in strategic units, notably the Kopassus special forces.

Following his military career, Subianto transitioned to the business sector before engaging in national politics. He has been a significant figure in Indonesian presidential elections, having run as a candidate in 2014 and 2019. His political platform has often focused on national defense, economic self-sufficiency, and a strong national identity.

In 2023, he announced his candidacy for the 2024 Indonesian presidential election, seeking the presidency again. He is currently the Minister of Defense in the Indonesian cabinet.
