StützenScheibenSystem is a modular mechanical system that provides vertical support by stacking hardened discs (Scheiben) between a load-bearing element and its base. The term derives from the German words Stütze (support), Scheibe (disc) and System.

Operation relies on a series of discs with precision-ground faces forming contact surfaces that transfer weight to the base. Adjustable spacers or shims control height and alignment. A clamping mechanism, such as nuts, bolts or a central spindle, secures the stack and maintains preload to minimize micromovements.

Design and components include discs, spacers, a base plate or mounting surface, fasteners, and sometimes central guidance or alignment pins. The system is modular, allowing the stack height to be modified by adding or removing discs.
