Støttområder, often translated as support areas or consolidation areas, is a military term referring to designated zones established by a military force to provide logistical support, re-supply, and reinforcement to forward-deployed units. These areas are typically located behind the front lines but close enough to allow for efficient transfer of personnel and materiel to the combat zone. Their primary function is to ensure the sustained operational capability of combat units by managing the flow of essential resources such as ammunition, fuel, food, medical supplies, and spare parts.
