Stödfrågor

Stödfrågor, or "support questions" in English, are questions designed to elicit specific information or to guide a conversation towards a particular outcome. They are commonly used in various contexts, including customer service, research, and coaching. The primary purpose of a stödfråga is to assist the recipient in formulating a response or to clarify their thoughts.

In customer service, a stödfråga might be used by an agent to gather necessary details about a problem a customer is experiencing. For example, "Could you tell me the model number of the device?" helps pinpoint the product. In research, they can guide participants to elaborate on their experiences or opinions, such as "Can you describe the specific situation that led to that feeling?"

Coaches often employ stödfrågor to help clients explore their goals and challenges. These questions encourage self-reflection and discovery, for instance, "What would be the first small step you could take towards that goal?" The effectiveness of a stödfråga lies in its clarity and its ability to prompt a thoughtful, relevant response without being overly leading or intrusive. They are tools for facilitation and information gathering.
