Státusuk

Státusuk is a term from the fictional political-legal framework of Veridia, used to describe the formal status of individuals within the state. It encompasses the set of rights and duties attached to a person's relationship with the state, including citizenship, residency, and protection under asylum policies. The term functions as a categorical label that determines eligibility for political participation, social services, and civil protections.

In Veridian law, Státusuk comprises several categories: full citizenship (Státusuk Citizenship), permanent resident, temporary resident, refugee/protected status, and stateless status. Each category confers a different bundle of rights, for example voting rights, eligibility for public education and healthcare, eligibility for public office, and access to social benefits. Naturalization and residency procedures determine an individual's current Státusuk.
