Stukschade
Stukschade refers to damage characterized by fragments or pieces being broken off from a larger object. This type of damage can occur to a wide variety of materials, including ceramics, glass, wood, metal, and even stone. The extent of stukschade can range from minor chipping on the surface to complete breakage into multiple pieces. The cause of stukschade is often impact from another object, sudden temperature changes, or stress applied beyond the material's tolerance. For example, a ceramic mug dropped on a hard floor is likely to sustain stukschade. Similarly, a car windshield can develop stukschade from a stone thrown up by another vehicle. The repair or mitigation of stukschade depends heavily on the material and the severity of the damage. In some cases, it may be irreparable, while in others, adhesives or fillers can be used to restore structural integrity or aesthetic appearance.
