Strömunngsquellen
Strömungsquellen are locations from which a fluid current originates and is discharged. In German-language geoscience literature the term is used primarily for natural discharge points of groundwater, but it also appears in oceanographic contexts to describe sources of upwelling or venting seawater. The standard spelling is Strömungsquellen; Strömunngsquellen is a less common variant found in older texts.
A Strömungsquelle forms where hydraulic pressure in a subsurface reservoir drives water to the surface or
Characteristics used to classify Strömungsquellen include temperature (cold, warm, hot), mineral content (fresh versus mineral-rich), and
Methods to study them include discharge measurements, temperature and chemical profiling, tracer tests to track flow
